Description

As the impact of COVID-19 continues to affect families and communities, Abbott is focused on supporting those in need.

New consumer behaviors that have developed during this pandemic, like stockpiling goods, have presented challenges for people across the country to get the important products they need when they need them, including infant formula.

To help families with the greatest need have access to formula, Abbott is donating  Similac® infant formula—a total of  1.5 million  feedings— to seven Feeding America food banks across the nation experiencing the greatest need. Through this donation and our broader work to provide access to our products, Abbott is delivering on its promise to help parents nourish their babies.

Families, frontline health workers and communities affected by the pandemic need support. That’s why Abbott is partnering with Feeding America, to provide important infant formula products to support to families in need.

Beyond our donation to Feeding America, Abbott and its foundation, the Abbott Fund, are supporting relief efforts globally, providing millions in funding and products to help address critical needs. This includes working with relief partner organizations to provide frontline health workers with training and resources to advance testing and care, supporting families with needed supplies and information for the prevention and care of COVID-19, and helping meet critical local needs in communities where our employees live and work.

Description

Everyone needs a sharp mind and a healthy body to perform their best. That's especially true of the men and women who serve in the United States Air Force (USAF).

That's why the Center for Nutrition, Learning, and Memory (CNLM) — a pioneering research partnership between Abbott and the University of Illinois — is collaborating on a multi-year study with the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) to examine the connection between nutrition and brain performance. They're interested in how nutrition affects the brain and in how exercise and nutrition can help improve airmen's cognitive function—attention, focus and decision-making abilities— as well as physical endurance. And while the study is focused on individuals serving in the armed forces, this nutrition research stands to benefit everyone.
