The Center for Nutrition, Learning and Memory, a partnership with the University of Illinois and Abbott, is committed to advancing the field of nutritional neuroscience, and bringing top researchers and technologies together to solve the “big questions” in how nutrition plays a role in learning and memory.
International Sarcopenia Initiative (ISI)
The International Sarcopenia Initiative (ISI), an initiative of the European Union Geriatric Medicine Society (EUGMS) and supported by Abbott, is a multidisciplinary global committee with representatives from leading medical, nutrition, aging and research associations across the world, including the International Association of Gerontology and Geriatrics, Jean Mayer USDA Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging, and the European Academy for Medicine of Ageing.
The DynaHEALTH consortium, made up of 13 partners, including Abbott, is a multi-disciplinary research project. The consortium will develop evidence-based policy recommendations for healthy and active ageing through reducing the risks of obesity and type 2 diabetes. By studying the interplay between glucose metabolism, psychological wellbeing and social factors, the project will develop new technologies and clinical interventions for targeted disease prevention.
