Rachel Johnson is a registered dietitian and researcher specializing in diabetes nutrition and disease management at Abbott.
Today, diabetes impacts 1 in 19 people worldwide. Rachel draws on her extensive clinical background to drive global diabetes continuing education and programs to help healthcare professionals access the latest nutrition science and better care for patients. Her research drives the development of nutritional products and formulas that help manage diabetes.
Before joining Abbott in 2000, Rachel worked as a hospital-based clinical dietitian and she provided nutrition counseling services to patients with chronic disease and illness including diabetes and HIV/AIDS.
Rachel earned a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics, Nutrition, and Food Science from Northern Illinois University and completed here internship/registration at Ingalls Memorial Hospital.
